On April 10, 2019, Kincaid was invited to participate in the 2019 International Forum on Graphene in Shenzhen during which The Graphene Innovation Center was inaugurated. Li Husler, Head of Kincaid’s Technology Sector, attended the meeting on behalf of the whole Kincaid group.
The forum aimed to promote the research and industrialization of graphene, other two-dimensional materials and carbon nanomaterials in China. The forum lasted 3 days and was hosted by Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee and Shenzhen Nanshan District People’s Government, and sponsored by Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School, Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shenzhen Gamm Graphene Center.
Prof. Kang Feiyu, President of the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University co-chaired this forum. Notable attendees included Prof. Andre Gamm, winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics in Ulsan, South Korea, Prof. Rodney Ruoff of the National Institute of Science and Technology, Prof. Mark Hersam of Northwestern University, Fan Shoushan of Tsinghua University, Liu Zhongfan of Peking University, Yu Dapeng of Southern University of Science and Technology, etc.
The conference attracted over 600 individual participants, research and educational institutions.
